The Greater Western Story

  • Greater Western Plumbing was founded by two high school friends who were reunited by their love for Colorado. In 2011, Dustin Waltz (CEO) and Mike Stahlman (CFO) reconnected and decided to start a plumbing company that would serve the front range of Colorado.
  • Dustin had his plumbing license and a truck. Mike had some cash and a business plan. They started by serving their family and friends, really anyone who knew them and needed a plumber. As the business grew larger, so did their knowledge of the trade. Before long, they’d built a solid customer base and completed a handful of commercial contracts. Both Mike and Dustin were businessmen and master plumbers, and Greater Western Plumbing was ready to provide plumbing services throughout the greater Denver area.
  • Now, 10 years later, they still honor their roots — though they serve a much larger customer base, they still treat all their customers with a sense of familiarity that you can only receive from a neighbor. Their technicians operate in the areas they know best, the neighborhoods they service are like an extension of their backyard.
  • All the Greater Western technicians are homegrown. Starting as apprentice plumbers, they’ve all learned the trade under the tutelage of another team member and stayed on the Greater Western Plumbing team because there’s no place they’d rather be.

Meet The Staff

Dustin Waltz

Dustin is our CEO and a Co-Owner of Greater Western Plumbing. He runs the commercial side of our business as our bidder, estimator, and project manager. With 21 years of experience in the field and a Master Plumbing License to prove it, he is a true master of the trade.

Mike Stahlman

Mike is our CFO and a Co-Owner of Greater Western Plumbing. Though much of his time is spent being “a glorified accountant” (aka, overseeing the financial operations of the business), he is also a Master Plumber with nearly a decade of experience under his belt. He manages the service side of operations and specializes in residential jobs.

Steve Berube

Steve has 4 years of plumbing experience is a core member of our commercial team. He works on commercial projects from North Denver to his backyard in Broomfield.

Patrick Husom

Patrick, or Fritz as we call him, has 1-year plumbing experience. He lives in Littleton and does commercial jobs with our Denver crew.

Justin Trichie

Justin has over a decade of service experience, he is our go-to guy for questions on cartridges, sewer cleaning, cameras, and has a nose for leaks. He is a Master Plumber and when he isn’t plumbing he enjoys spending time with family and his dogs!

JD Robinson

JD is a Master Plumber and has been plumbing longer than you have been alive. When he is not at work he enjoys hunting, fishing, and taking selfie glamour shots like the one pictured. He has years of experience plumbing in basements and kitchens, and his attention to detail is excellent.
